Safe Haven volunteers have the opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge about domestic violence and its impact on the community.

Before  volunteering at Safe Haven Shelter or Resource Center, you must attend basic training. This includes an overview of Safe Haven and its services, the dynamics of domestic abuse, and volunteer policies and procedures.

While we currently are not having in-person volunteer opportunities or trainings, we are offering volunteer training. We will cover Domestic Violence 101, Safe Haven Services, do an “In Her Shoes” simulation and learn the basics of volunteering with Safe Haven.  You’ll also get a tour of the Resource Center and lunch will be provided. This training will be capped at 5 participants. Safe Haven currently requires masks at all of our locations so masks will be required to be worn during the training.

Any questions can be directed to our Community Engagement Coordinator, Jaci,
