Volunteer Training

While we are still unable to provide in-person volunteer opportunities we are still providing volunteer training to all who are interested in volunteering with us when we are able.  Our in person training is typically held in one, 3 hour session.  Virtually this training will be done over the course of 3 weeks with 3, one hour sessions. If you’ve been on the fence with volunteering at Safe Haven, this is a great opportunity to learn more! Domestic Violence 101

During this 1 hour training you will learn more about what domestic violence is and how to support those you love who may be experiencing violence in their relationships. Any questions can be directed to our Community Engagement Coordinator.

Domestic Violence and Healthcare

This training will cover domestic violence and its impact on healthcare, how to screen and assess individuals who may be victims of domestic violence and identifying different community resources to support patients who are experiencing relationship violence. Any questions can be directed to our Community Engagement Coordinator.
