Shelter Advocates provide advocacy, crisis intervention, emotional support, information, and referrals for survivors both in the shelter and in the community. They help maintain a safe and supportive residential environment, attend to the needs of clients, and perform additional duties that contribute to the overall operation of Safe Haven’s Shelter Programs.
Pay: $21.16 per hour (additional $1.20/hr for hours worked between 11:00pm - 7:00am)

Evenings, Overnights, and Casual
Days (7:00am – 3:00pm)
Evenings (3:00pm – 10:30pm)

The Self-Sufficiency Advocate works in conjunction with the Self-Sufficiency team to implement and provide programming to cultivate skills that lead to increased autonomy for survivors of domestic violence. Four primary areas of advocacy include housing, education, employment, and connecting to public benefits and community resources. Essential functions include providing direct service to survivors, connecting survivors with community resources, and recording and reporting outcomes.
Pay: $21.16/hour
Hours: Full-time, non-exempt position (40 hours per week)
(Schedule will be determined based on the ongoing need of the program.)
