November 21st – Give to the Max Day
Give to the Max is a statewide outpouring of support for thousands of nonprofits and schools across Minnesota! The Giving Holiday is scheduled for Thursday, November 21, but you don’t have to wait to support Safe Haven.
November 28th – Gobble Gallop | 8:40-10:30AM
The Gobble Gallop is all about coming together, sharing smiles, and making memories! This Thanksgiving Day, grab your loved ones and join the fun with your pick of three exciting events: the Gobble Gallop 5K, Tough Turkey 1 Mile, or the Gobble Giddy Up! Kids’ Run.
Join Duluth Running Co. in supporting Safe Haven! Your donation can make a real impact in the lives of families seeking safety and stability. When you donate through your registration or sign up as a fundraiser, you’re directly helping Safe Haven continue their essential work. Plus, if you raise $250 or more, we’ll refund your registration fee as a thank-you for your support.

December 13-19th | WDIO’s Trees of Hope
Trees of Hope is a charity event hosted by WDIO and Hom Furniture. For 4 weeks, WDIO features a local non-profit, and each Tuesday will have a good ol’ fashioned telethon! You can catch Safe Haven live on WDIO on December 17th at 5pm, 6pm, and 10pm!
December 14th – Lefse Run
Get ready for the tastiest event of the season—it’s the Lefse Run, brought to you by Duluth Running Co. and our neighbors at First Lutheran Church. Join us on Saturday, December 14th for a morning packed with running, community, and delicious lefse—all to support a great cause: raising funds for Safe Haven!
And the best part? This run is FREE! We do suggest a $5 (or more) donation to Safe Haven, which you can easily make when you register. Your sign-up gets you access to the fun run and a piece of lefse when you finish.
This year, we’re adding a special treat: our first-ever Lefse Aid Station! Fuel up mid-run with a little extra lefse love—because who doesn’t want a boost of warm, goodness on the go? After the run, you can snag 3-piece packs of lefse for just $10 each—perfect for sharing (or keeping all to yourself!). Cash, credit/debit, and checks are all welcome.
Lefse Run Event Schedule
8:30 – 9:00 AM | Check-in at Duluth Running Co.
9:00 – 10:00 AM | Fun Run on the Lakewalk to the Lighthouse at Canal Park & back (3-mile casual run)
