Safe Haven gratefully accepts donations in many forms – from financial, to hygiene products, to items from our #WishListWednesdays. Your gift goes a long way in helping us support survivors of domestic violence on their journey to a better tomorrow.
Your financial gift saves the lives of women and children in the Northland who are fleeing violence and creates a safe space for them to begin to heal and seek independence. You can donate online or for other giving options please contact our Director of Philanthropy. Together we are saving lives!

Safe Haven is a domestic violence agency that has been serving the Northland of Minnesota since 1978. Our mission is providing safety, space to heal, advocacy, and empowerment for women, children, and all survivors of domestic violence. As a 501 (c)3 non-profit charitable organization recognized by the IRS, contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
We believe that philanthropy’s tradition of giving and sharing for the common good should be safe-guarded, in order to give donors and prospective donors full confidence that their gifts will be effectively stewarded. The Donor Bill of Rights was created by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP), the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), and the Giving Institute: Leading Consultants to Non-Profits. It has been endorsed by numerous organizations, and we have been granted permission for its use here.
