Go ahead. Get involved.
Safe Haven offers a variety of events throughout the year to engage the community in our mission. Check this page often to find out what we’ve got going on!
Safe Haven’s annual fundraising luncheon is held each October, to coincide with Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This year’s event will be held on Thursday October 12, 2017. The luncheon is attended by more than 300 survivors, community members, and supporters. Spend this hour with us, learn about our work, discover the realities victims and survivors face, hear their stories, and be inspired to take action. The success of the luncheon rests with our Table Hosts. If you are interested in volunteering as a Table Host for the event, contact our Community Education Coordinator.
For all new volunteers, this required training provides an overview of the Shelter services and the dynamics of domestic violence including how domestic violence impacts survivors and their children. To register for volunteer training, contact our Volunteer Coordinator.
Resource Center Tours
Due to confidentiality concerns, we do not offer tours of the shelter to the public. We do, however, offer tours of our Resource Center to individuals and groups on a case-by-case basis. If you are interested in booking a tour, please contact our Community Education Coordinator.
