Go ahead. Get involved.
Safe Haven offers a variety of events throughout the year to engage the community in our mission. Check this page often to find out what we’ve got going on!
Safe Haven’s annual fall fundraiser is held each October, to coincide with Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The 2020 theme is Hope, Heal, Transform and Thrive. This year’s event will be held virtually with a variety of opportunities to engage with Safe Haven during the week of October 5-8, 2020. Join us online to learn about our work, discover the realities victims and survivors face, hear their stories, and be inspired to take action. If you are interested in learning more about the event, contact our Director of Philanthropy.
For all new volunteers, this required training provides an overview of the Shelter services and the dynamics of domestic violence including how domestic violence impacts survivors and their children. To register for volunteer training, contact our Community Engagement Coordinator.
Resource Center Tours
Due to confidentiality concerns, we do not offer tours of the shelter to the public. We do, however, offer tours of our Resource Center to individuals and groups on a case-by-case basis. If you are interested in booking a tour, please contact our Community Engagement Coordinator
