Safe Haven is a domestic violence agency that has been serving the Northland of Minnesota since 1978. Our mission is providing safety, space to heal, advocacy, and empowerment for women, children, and all survivors of domestic violence. The Donor Bill of Rights
We believe that philanthropy’s tradition of giving and sharing for the common good should be safe-guarded, in order to give donors and prospective donors full confidence that their gifts will be effectively stewarded. The Donor Bill of Rights was created by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP), the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), and the Giving Institute: Leading Consultants to Non-Profits. It has been endorsed by numerous organizations, and we have been granted permission for its use here.
